Due to the threat of unfavorable weather associated with Hurricane Ivan, the committee of the WBKMT has voted to reschedule this year's event to the weekend of October 28-30. The 24th annual Fall Pier King Mackerel Tournament scheduled this weekend has been canceled due to a decline in fishing conditions created by recent storms in the area. The ABKMT website has unofficial first day results. Looks like quite a few smokers were found. The top five fish are more than 30-lbs. The Chamber of Commerce has made it official, they're going to hold their tournament on October 22-23. This is the same weekend as the Teach's Lair Marina tourney in Hatteras. It seems that going forward, if weather cancels your tournament you're going to have to step on someone's toes when you reschedule.
