News Report on Menhaden in Neuse River with Lesions
The New Bern Sun Journal has an article today about a problem with lesions showing up on menhaden in the Neuse River where a large fish kill occurred in early September. What does menhaden in the Neuse have to do with coastal fishing? Check out this quote from the article, "It may be too early to tell for certain, but it appears to be a real possibility that we will lose all of the menhaden in the Neuse before they are able to migrate to the ocean during October and November... ."
