This is going to sound a bit odd, but I'm a newbie to king mackerel fishing. For the past 14 years I've worked in the publishing industry. Recently I tried my hand at king mackerel fishing -- I loved it! So I thought I'd mix publishing and fishing in the form of the Kingfish Journal. So while the publishing biz comes easy, finding that elusive smoker is extremely hard. While I live in the Washington, DC area, my parents and many friends are located in Carolina Beach, NC. I do quite a bit of "trolling" the internet for king-related news and updates. Plus I've developed a great network of sources that supply timely on-the-water/dock intelligence.
