Response from the SKA on the FLW Outdoors Kingfish Tour Announcement
The Kingfish Journal spoke with Bob Flocken of the SKA late on Friday for a response to the FLW’s recent introduction of a competing kingfish tour. Flocken had not yet seen the details but simply stated that it “raises the bar and provides us more incentive to produce better tournaments.” He mentioned that some teams currently on the SKA have sponsorship deals that don’t allow them to fish in events with competing sponsors. So there’s some question as to which teams will be able to fish in the FLW given their existing contracts. Flocken also confirmed Yamaha’s involvement with their pro tour for the remainder of 2004 and 2005.
